If you’re looking for a beautifully priced retreat half way between city and beach and that’s very local-friendly, this is it. Frances and Justin and their two girls live on site and offer their cottage, tucked away at the back of their own house, for your use. Frances is a super host on AirBnB, so she knows how to look after you but also leave you alone!
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen (minus an oven) and a sitting room cum bedroom, very tastefully decorated in neutral putty colours but with lots of African colour in the features. There’s a small dining area too, so if you the weather’s not ideal, you can simply eat it. The cottage is completely free standing and not overlooked at all, so you can open the lounge and kitchen door for an evening cross breeze.
Outside, there’s a coffee table and two chairs and a pretty herb garden to look at over a glass of wine.
There’s secure off street parking and you access the cottage via a private side lane so if you don’t want to be social, you don’t have to.
Located in the quiet suburb of Bergvliet, you’re ten minutes from Muizenberg beach and surrounded by myriad high-end food stores as well as antique and bric and brac shopping on the M4.
