Noordhoek Beach Ride

Just at the southern end of Chapman’s Peak Drive a vast expanse of beach and wetland extends south. This is Noordhoek, famous for its farm village where you can get everything from coffee to a yoga mat to great live music at Café Roux. But the beach here is best explored on horseback where you can canter for many kilometres through the surf or trot and walk as you prefer as the waves crash next to you past shipwrecks and surfers. We love the Imhoff Equestrian Centre founded by Lisa Hughes decades ago not least because of the superb quality of their tack, horses and stables which are like a horse hotel!
