Olympia Café

Olypmia started in the days when you couldn’t get a decent cup of coffee on every street corner in Cape Town. Originally a fish and bait processing shop over looking the diminutive and cute Kalk Bay Harbour, the original old school tiling and fish counter is still there but these days, the mainly fish based fare is hearty, rich and varied: no menus but a chalk board with whatever chef came up with, no reservations but a line outside, no music but laughter and chatter from dawn to dusk. Olympia also is a traditional café baking their own croissants and other goodies every day and of course all washed down with a great variety of coffees. Check out their jazz room in the same building also.
