Walking trail and picnic
Inventive and understated, Waterford Estate produces a superb range of wines, with a strong focus on reds alongside select whites, a Blanc de Blancs Cap Classique and Rosé-Mary Rosé. Unusually, only half of the estate’s terroir is planted to vineyards, with the remaining land preserved for natural vegetation and biodiversity, a philosophy rooted in the belief that nature and vines cannot thrive without one another.
Beyond the tasting room, guests can explore this natural landscape on the Porcupine Trail Wine Walk, a guided experience through vineyards and fynbos with curated wine tastings along the way. For a more immersive journey, the Wine Drive Safari offers a guided tour across the estate, stopping at selected vineyard sites to taste wines while learning about the land, soils and winemaking philosophy.
