Sculpture Garden Tour (Dylan Lewis)

Defying categorisation, this parcel of land outside Franschhoek started as a hands-on piece of landscape architecture (with Dylan literally hiring a digger and reshaping the land himself). The space grew from there to incorporate an exhibition of exterior sculptures, then a nursery for indigenous plants facing extinction, and then added an interior gallery in Dylan’s own studio. Originally drawing inspiration largely from big cats but also from the human form Lewis’s sculptures capture movement in startlingly original way.
